The 5Day Uganda Gorilla tour is a short driving tour that starts from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. It’s a wilderness experience to encounter the majestic great apes, the mountain gorillas. The tour starts at 7am with pick up  from your Hotel to to experience a Journey with the gorillas.

Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable National Park (Approx 8-9 hours drive)

Your safari will start this morning, you will meet your Wilder Uganda Guide for your gorilla trip, you will start the long but enjoyable drive to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, you will have stopovers on the way for Photography of the scenic places and Later Lunch. You will proceed to check in Late evening at your customized hotel choice.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest

Today, you proceed to the Park headQuarters for Briefing about the gorilla experience. You will meet the park Wardens, Park guides, Porters and Rangers who will brief you on guidelines to follow while on the trek, then will then lead you into the forest to find the amazing mountain gorillas. Once you meet them, you will spend one hour with them, take photography, Learn about them, and  Later trek back to the starting Point, enjoy your packed Lunch and , you will then be awarded a certificate for successful gorilla trek as appreciation for supporting the conservation of Mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable National Park. You will later return to the Hotel

 Day 3: Community and cultural experience in Bwindi

Today will be a slow down day to relax but still experience the communities in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Wilder Africa is fully engaged in sustainable tourism to bing positive impacts to tourism communities in Uganda, you will take a tour in a community close to your hotel in Bwindi, to engage, Learn and appreciate the cultural difference. You will visit a school, Local women groups, craft centers where you can support the communities.

Day 4: Gorilla Habituation experience

Today after an early morning breakfast, you will head out for briefing at the park offices. While there, you will join other tourists and be informed about what to expect during the gorilla habituation experience. After the briefing, you will start trekking into the forest accompanied by Rangers, Trackers and Researcher. Unlike standard gorilla tracking where visitors are allowed only one hour with the gorillas, with the habituation experience, you will be with the primates for four hours. As you track the gorillas, you will encounter several forest creatures including birds, butterflies, smaller primates and insects. Listen and observe what the researchers are doing. You may be asked to participate in making gorilla calls, gathering samples or naming group members. After spending your four hours with the gorillas, you will go back to the lodge for rest and relaxation.

Day 5: Bwindi to Entebbe/Kampala

Today will be the last day of your Uganda gorilla tour in Bwindi, you will bid farewell to the hotel and drive back to Kampala to end the trip. You will stop on the way to relax and stretch with enroute Lunch. You will be driven back to your hotel or Airport to end the trip.
